My category for that is "random thoughts"... also, bear in mind that my blog is actually called "Random Thoughts of a Student of the Environment", so I always allow myself to post random stuff :)

Kulpreet, I'm not sure if there are such WP plugins to separate the feeds, there must be - I've seen on several blogs, including Lorelle On Wordpress, where feeds on various topics are offered. One of my blogger-friends was doing that on his blog, but he told me he wrote the code himself, no plugins. I'm planning on having such separate feed offers on my blog after the re-design. So once I figure out how to do it, I'll blog about it as well ;-)

Oh, you might consider installing Subscribe To Comments plugin on your blog, so that I get email notices that you or someone else commented on the post I've left my comment at.

Hi Jen,
Thanks for your suggestion! That's a great idea.

Hi Vivien,
Really? That would be cool! I'm guessing you could do it with a WordPress plugin?
Thank you for your comment - yes I agree those who come back to read will be accustomed to your variety of topics.

in addition to what Jen said before me, you could also create different RSS feed options for different categories, so that readers can pick and choose what kind of topics they want to subscribe to and which they can skip.

Also, after some time of writing on different topics your readers will know what to expect from you and eventually the ones who will stick to your blog won't mind your writing on various issues.

Hi Kulpreet,

You may want to create a blog Category called "Mixed Bag", "MishMash", "Mashup" "Grab Bag" or "HodgePodge" - or even cooler: Digression (a passage or section that deviates from the central theme in speech or writing).

These Category names by definition permit you to write about absolutely anything that does not fall within the confines of your blogs focus. Then you could create Subcategories if you want, such as... Rants, Causes, Inspiration etc.

Just a thought. :)
