Eat, Drink or Die

Something cool I just discovered today… The folks who started the websites Funny or Die, Shred or Die, and Pwn or Die have started a new site called Eat, Drink or Die.

Basically it follows the format of the other sites, whereby users upload videos under various categories and the public rates the quality of the videos. Because I don’t consume any type of alcohol or any food with animal ingredients, only the vegetarian section appeals to me, but it’s a really great resource. You can watch short videos of people cooking vegetarian dishes. Note: some of the recipes are under the “Vegetarian” category but they include eggs as an ingredient, which of course is not vegetarian.

There have been sites like YouTube, LiveVideo, etc. for quite a while but I’m really excited to see more niche community social networks, video sharing sites, etc. I think the more people can convene online to connect with each other and share information about a common interest (especially when the common interest is something productive like human rights activism or community volunteerism), the more people will be able to help each other and improve their quality of life.

Here’s one of the highest rated vegetarian food videos:

As a side note, people use the word FTW (for the win) quite often. Maybe the next adaptation is “or Die” :) What do you think is the better modern cliche slang? “WordPress FTW!” or “WordPress or DIE!”
